Thailand's government will introduce the TouristDigiPay initiative on August 18, 2025, allowing foreign visitors to convert cryptocurrencies into Thai Baht for electronic payments. The scheme targets tourism recovery amid declining arrivals, particularly from China.

Participants must complete KYC verification and use SEC/BOT-regulated digital asset platforms. Transaction limits and anti-fraud measures are implemented to maintain financial integrity. The program reflects Thailand's broader cryptocurrency integration strategy.
